CCAS RULES REGARDING THE USE OF CERTIFICATION MARKS

CONDITIONS OF USE

Clients of CCAS that achieve ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 registration are allowed to promote/display their success by being able to use the prestigious certification marks (logo) on company stationery, business cards etc. This document sets out where and where not certification marks can be used.
Before using the certification mark, registered clients are requested to ensure that they comply with the following rules. If in any doubt please contact the CCAS office for further clarification.

1) The company's scope of registration is detailed on the Certificate of Registration.  The certificate also gives information regarding the company name and registration address.  Any subsidiary companies and addresses not included on the certificate are not covered by registration.

2) a) Accreditation marks shall have a minimum height (excluding the accreditation number) of
20 mm and a maximum height of 30 mm on A4 size paper.

b) Any enlargement or reduction shall retain the same proportions as the enclosed bromides. The mark and the accreditation number shall be considered as a single entity for purposes of enlargement or reduction.

c) In exceptional circumstances, which are usually dictated by reason of space limitation, the marks may be reproduced at a reduced height but must be considered legible in the opinion of CCAS, with no infilling.

d) The UKAS accreditation mark (crown & tick) must always be used in conjunction with the CCAS certification mark (logo).

3) The accreditation mark as illustrated below shall normally be printed in a single colour, which should be the predominant ink colour of the document, or, in the case of a pre-printed letterhead, the predominant ink colour of the letterhead.

4) The certification mark (logo) may only be used in correspondence, advertising and promotional material, which relates to the company's scope of registration.  Please contact CCAS prior to printing if there is any doubt regarding the intended use.

5) Marks other than the Testing and Calibration marks may not be used on test calibration reports and certificates, respectively.

6) In all cases, your individual certificate number must be quoted directly underneath the certification mark (logo).  See example below:
