The course
This course is intended for all levels of personnel who will become quality practitioners and particularly those who will attend the Internal QMS Auditor Training Course
Who should attend
Anyone requiring an understanding of Quality Management Systems. The course is IRCA Certificated and is the recognised initial training in the ISO 9000:2005 series of Standards for those intending to take the IRCA Certificated 2-day course providing auditing skills.
Pre-requisites
No previous knowledge of Quality Assurance or Quality Management is necessary as the course starts from basic definitions of quality, quality assurance and quality management and explains the development and requirements of Quality Standards up to the current issue of the International Standard ISO 9000:2005 Series including BS EN ISO 9001:2008.
Course content
The course gives detailed introduction to the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001:2008 and the related Quality Standards ISO 9000:2005 and ISO 9004:2009; the structuring of a Quality Management System using the Process Approach and the benefits, in terms of reduced costs and improved efficiency, from the implementation of a system.

- Quality - definitions and expectations.
- Quality Assurance - definitions and objectives.
- The origins and development of Quality Standards.
- Requirements of the current Standard.
- Quality Management Systems - purposes, creation and implementation.
- Objectives of a Quality Management System.
- The role of Management.
- Quality Costs - Failure, Appraisal, Prevention.
- Continual Quality Improvement and Future Development.
Course duration1st day attendance may be coupled with the 2 day auditing-skills course or this may be separate
Detailed course notes are provided along with all materials. Delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance which is a pre-requisite for attendance at the 2-day Internal QMS Auditor Training Course
