Terms and Conditions of Certification
These Terms and Conditions form the agreement between Chamber Certification Assessment Services (CCAS) and each Applicant and Registered Company.

1 INTRODUCTION
CCAS follow the criteria specified in the ISO/IEC 17021 Standard for a Certification Body recognised as competent and reliable in the operation of Management Systems.
This Agreement shall be governed by English Law.

2 SCOPE OF THE RULES OF REGISTRATION
The assessment and certification of management systems operated by an Applicant to BS EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. The Applicant must agree to supply all necessary information to CCAS.

3 DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions:
Applicant means an individual, body corporate or body unincorporated applying for a Certificate of Registration.
Assessment means a verification of the effectiveness of the Quality and/or EMS or Health & Safety System operated by an Applicant through the examination of materials, finished product, methods of test, records, systems, environmental and other activities established by the Applicant within its Quality and/or EMS and/or Health & Safety System.
Board means the board established as the governing body of CCAS.
Technical Committee means the committee established to review the approval or otherwise of each customer registration prior to the issue of a registration certificate.
Certificate of Registration means a document issued by CCAS in recognition that the Quality and/or EMS and/or Health & Safety System operated by the Applicant is in line with these Terms and Conditions.
Client means applicant or registered company as appropriate.
Product means the goods, processes or services provided by a client.
Quality and/or Environmental and/or Health & Safety System means the organisation, structure, responsibilities, procedures, processes and resources appertaining to a company that together ensure the capability of that company to meet quality and/or EMS and/or Health & Safety requirements established in accordance with the standard.
Registered Company means an individual, body corporate or body unincorporated which has been granted a Certificate of Registration.
Scope of Registration means the range of products, services, activities, quality and/or environmental and/or health & safety management systems of a registered company specified on the Certificate of Registration.
Standard means ISO 9001:2008 and/or ISO 14001:2004 or BS OHSAS 18001:2007.

4 APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION
On receiving a completed assessment questionnaire the Chief Executive or Director of Operations will prepare a quotation detailing assessment cost. On acceptance of this quotation the Applicant will sign the application form and send it to CCAS together with payment of the assessment fee. CCAS will then allocate a suitable Lead Auditor of quality, environmental or health & safety management systems, and other audit members as necessary.
